Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: Flavia Guerrero @flavsgj

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

I come from Düsseldorf, Germany and I was born in Santiago de Chile. I have a bachelor degree in Hotel Management and Tourism from a chilean university. I love to travel. Since I was a little girl I wanted to see the world, learn languages, have friends from different countries and my dream was to fly. I’m a flight attendant and I love my job but this year 2016 my occupation is being a Tourist. In December 2015 my boyfriend and I moved to Bangkok, Thailand, place that will be my home until December 2016. I’m living my dream having so much free time to dedicate myself to my hobbies, that’s why I created a website www.mundoflavs.com to share my experiences with my family, friends or whoever is interested in my content: living in Asia, travel tips and some fashion posts. This inspired me also to start blogging on Instagram which is something that I can’t have enough of! I love fashion and I travel a lot so I share outfits and travel destinations with the world. Sometimes I post some beauty pictures. After 2 months I started receiving the first collaboration offers so I’m totally into it, having the time of my life!

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

I post about fashion: outfits, accessories, etc. Even though I love brands, I’m also a big fan of no name stuff. I love buying at night markets or thai malls that sell beautiful fashion for less money.

I also post about travel: beautiful destinations in Asia and other places I’ve been to.

You might find some beauty posts with some tips about my essentials: cosmetics, perfumes, etc.

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

Some good friends in Chile used to call me Flavs because this fun and girly nickname represents my personality at best.

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

I use VSCO and Instagram.

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

I love SincerelyJules! Her style represents who she is: a very chic easy going girl who can look fantastic in sneakers and heels. She is not the kind of “I’m the best and I love myself” blogger, something that I love about her. I also like the chilean blogger Claudia Mellado. She can really play with her wardrobe! Her outfits are super fashionable and playful, her style is very unique.
I like the travel instagramer miss.everywhere and escapingabroad… their travel pictures and tips are amazing!

6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?

I’m crazy about the Kylie lipsticks! They stay very long and look great!
A eyelashes mascara I discovered on a flight from London to Bangkok. Eyeko black magic duo. The best duty free purchase ever! A waterproof mascara that includes fibers that make your eyelashes look like they where fake! incredible results.
The best outlet in the world!! Sawgrass in Fort Lauderdale. When I’m in Miami, that’s a place I frequently visit. Designer clothes and accesories for less money… a dream!

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

I love reading feedbacks of people from all over the world. I like helping people by deciding what to wear or what will be the next destination for holidays. It’s incredible but I do receive messages asking me where my outfits can be found and also, some girls arranged me to find the best outfits for them because they like my style and trust in my good taste.

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

I think that fashion is made for all sizes. I love campaigns that include models with different types of bodies… because at the end, if you sell shoes, they are not only for size 0, are they? fashion should be made for everybody.

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

For me is very clear, if I buy something very cheap I’m pretty sure that It wont last long. So if there is something I always wanted to have and I want to keep it as long as possible, a timeless piece, I’m willing to spend more money for it. If I go to a street market and I find something interesting on the way, I might buy it and see how it is, but my expectations in matters of quality are not high.
Bags and Shoes… for both I could spend more money because cheap can also look cheap, not my thing.
Originality can be reached when you stop thinking too much and do things spontaneously, also in matters of fashion.

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

I love brands because they mean to me prestige, style and quality. Partnering with brands is a reason for me to be proud of, a motivation to do always better and represent the brands giving them what they expect from me and more.
