1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?
I am a self taught baker from Kent in England and at present I am working to start up a small home based business providing customised celebration cakes and other bakes for people’s special occasions.
2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?
My main topic of interest is food, more specifically home baking
3) How did your Instagram name come about?
I wanted to keep it simple and easy to remember and after months of hearing ‘where can I get this made for this birthday’ and my friends and family and past customers relying to people ‘ebz bakes!’ I decided that Ebz Bakes was a good shout 🙂
4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!
At the moment I’m just using Lightroom to brighten and sharpen photos, sometimes to remove things from the background
5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?
Katherine Sabbath
Cloudy Kitchen
Magnolia Kitchen
The Scran Line
Cakes by Cliff
Ivy and stone cake design
6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?
Joe & Sephs popcorn. Amazing!
7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?
I love sharing my creations with people but also seeing how my peers interpret and run with current trends and feed trends and new products into their work
8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?
Keep it genuine. No scripting. Write as you and keep your personality in everything you share online. Gaining a following takes time and effort on your part but that’s what makes it worthwhile when it starts to pay off and you see the same people coming back to check out your work time and time again 🙂
9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?
Always be original. Don’t copy someone and share that and then expect to capitalise on their hard work. It won’t come across as authentic and then people won’t identify with you or enjoy your work as much.
10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?
Being able to try new things in my work and chat with brands about things they have in the works and then give truthful feedback to the people who follow me about their products.
