Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: Samuel David @soberpxnda

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

I’m Samuel David, i’m a 17 years old boy from Indonesia. I’m a high school student.

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

I like photography and cinematography. I post random photo on instagram, but i make it white because i’m a white addict. Lately, i started posting video, just a loop video of a moving line.

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

It was actually my sister’s idea. But i think it’s soberpxnda because pxnda/panda is black and white and it resembles my instagram feed. Sober is a state of not drunk i think.

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

I use snapseed and vscocam. I usually brightens my photo using snapseed if it’s needed. And then I transfer the photo to vsco cam. I used the filter HB2 10+, and then I lower the exposure to -2 and saturation to -3. Then I set the contrast to +2 and sharpen to +4. Then i’ll post to instagram.

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

I really like @felixpradipta and @joshualie. They both have amazing feeds, and they inspire me to travel more and explore my photography skills even more. I like their feeds because the color of each photo is the same, and it looks aesthetically pleasing.

6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?

I recommed them exploring their photo. Try taking pictures of everything, literally. And then you will know what kind of photo you like. So that your feed will be beautiful and you will have a fun time taking photo

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

My favorite part of being an influencer is that i get to see other people’s art evolves and how they are growing. Because being an influencer is about making a change and my favorte part is seeing that changes.

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

My tips is be yourself and don’t stop exploring but maintain your standard. Set your standard as high as possible, but have a reachable goal. To maintain authenticity is adding your touch to your artwork. That way it’s authentic and original.

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

Quality is really important just like originality. You need to maintain your quality, if can, you need to make it even better everytime. And you’re suppose to create original content. You can get inspiration from other creators but you can’t replicate them exactly or else you’ll be a copycat.

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

What I like is that they help us so that we don’t get lost or confuse and we get a lot of benefits. They also provide us with our needs so that we don’t have to worry. And they help us gain followers
