Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: Dunja Djokić @bloodtearsngold

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

I come from a little country in Southern-Eastern Europe which is called Serbia. I study architecture in Belgrade in our local university. Since I was little I loved to photograph things, especially when I travel. A few years ago I discovered the world of beauty vlogers and blogers, so about a year I made a blog. Recently I made a youtube account but for that I still don’t have enough courage. And why did I make it, because I love makeup so much and I love reading about it and watching tutorials, I also would say that I’m good with makeup so I wanted to share my love with anyone who cares. Long story short, I LOVE to try new things and share the love of those that I love.

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

Most of the photographs are the photographs of my everyday life (with a little icing & a cherry on top), the things I love, the places I love, the food I love, the makeup I use and love. This summer I traveled a lot so there is a lot of traveling posts.

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

It came with my first (and last) tumblr account that I made in 2011, and the secret behind it is the song from my favorite band in the world Hurts which is called ‘Blood, tears and gold’. And for the actual meaning of that saying I could write all day, but it means a lot to me.

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

Until recently I always used vsco cam, but one day I got bored of it and deleted it. So now I use the manual exposure on the iPhone’s camera, then sometimes the Snapseed app, and then the basic editing filters on the instagram.

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

Ohhhhh but this list is endless. Let me see. I can pick a few from a pile but I can’t promise that I didn’t forget anyone.

6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?

Again hard question. Why one thing? Agh. The first thing that crossed my mind is the h&m mascara, it is so affordable but SO good.

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

The part when someone actually tries and loves what I recommend.

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

First of all, don’t copy, at least that annoys me. If you are designing a logo, don’t try to copy a logo from some amazing brands, make something unique. Make a unique package, also make it affordable but good quality and listen to people and what they want because there is not a better advertising then when people love the products.

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

I didn’t even see this question before I answered the last one, promise.

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

I like that I can help them develop, help me develop because I’m trying new things, and help people find good things to try.
