Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: Carola De Caro @ccarolaxo

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

I come from Sicily, on the south of Italy. Right now I’m relaxing on my bed and waiting for dinner.

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

I love fashion, clothes, music, shoes, nail arts, makeup and all this girly stuff. I post a lot of things on Instagram and I post random pictures honestly but I care about keeping a ‘theme’ and so I edit my pictures trying to make them impeccable!

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

I don’t really remember but Carola is my name and I usually write ‘xo’ (which means hugs and kisses) because I think it’s very polite and it beautifies the things you say. And then the double ‘c’ just because it looks cooler.

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

I use a lot of apps, for example: afterlight, vsco cam (the most used of the period to be honest), squaready, layout and sometimes facetune.

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

As I said before I love fashion and I’d like to become a fashion blogger: this is my biggest dream since I was a child; so I follow a lot of fashion bloggers such as: Ginevra Lambruschi, Christina Bertevello, Ludovica Valli, Kylie Jenner, Nathalie Paris, Maddi Bragg, Madison Beer, Amanda Steele, Chiara Biasi, Chiara Ferragni, Sophia Mitchell, Alexa Losey, Silvia Raffaele, Eleonora Rocchini, ext. (some of them are Italian, some American and I think some of them are from UK as well)

6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?

They gotta try to keep a theme: it makes your Instagram look ways and ways cooler!

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

That you can actually express yourself freely to the others and if they like you, they’ll follow you.. So in this way you can create a sort of new ‘family’ or something like that.

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

You maintain authenticity by just creating new original things and by being yourself and not copying the other brands.

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

I think the quality and the originality are very important in everything: either if you are speaking about a new song that is coming out next week or either if you are speaking about a piece of clothing.

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

It’s amazing and it’s what I’ve been looking for almost three years. I think it’s very interesting because you can try new things and make people (your followers) know about that and maybe make them discover a new brand or make them buy something. I think it’s like a sort of work, so I would take it seriously but also if it’s a serious thing you do it with pleasure because it’s what you like.
