Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: Briana Drake @_bdrvke

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

I am a nineteen year old transfer college student, currently part-time at Wake Technical Community College, where I am studying to get my Associates Degree in Business Administration. Outside of school, you can normally find me out and about exploring different parts of Raleigh by myself or with my eleven year old sister. As of now I work part-time at Pet Smart and also part-time for other upcoming social media apps. However, I am a former military child, I’ve lived in California (San Diego, Mira Mesa, Stuart Mesa), North Carolina (birth state), South Carolina and my favorite Japan! I lived in Iwakuni, Japan (30 minutes away from Hiroshima) for about 6 years. While living in Japan, my interest for traveling grew stronger since I played basketball, volleyball and soccer through middle school and high school. I’ve been throughout the entire country of Japan and even South Korea for competitions. My aspiration in life is to build a foundation that influences our youth to explore new horizons instead of what meets the eye. I believe that if we as a nation can encourage one another to follow our dreams then there’s no telling what we can do in the future.

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

Traveling, self motivation and health

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

It’s the first initial of my first name and I didn’t want to just seem basic by adding my last name so instead of “drake” I put “drvke”.

6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?

Follow your dreams! Do what makes you feel happy with no regrets, enjoy being you and just live life while you have the chance! Nothing is promised in this world!

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

Being able to touch the lives of others, unknowingly.

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

Work from the heart, put yourself in other people’s shoes to gauge how you’d want to be approached or influenced through that brand.

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

People will remember you more if they see how authenticated you are. Is feed different from other brands or influencers? Are you offering something more or unheard of that people have never seen? People want new and different !

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

Being able to lend a hand and bring awareness to things that are vital to us in life.
