Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: Bounty Hanggoro @bountyhanggoro

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

My name is Bounty. I know my name is uncommon and people thought my name came from a tissue brand. But i’m actually named after a hotel where my parents had their honeymoon, duh! I’m Indonesian, garnished with Dutch and Portuguese blood from my ancestors. I was born and raised in Jakarta. I do modelling (too short and too fat for runway tho) and acting, however recently I have been busy being a Digital Marketer and I have been busy trying and experimenting with recipes. I’m 23, married and live in Evanston, Illinois. I’m crazy about dogs! So sad I have a Yorkie named Lolly.

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

I post contents about food reviews, my cooking (also recipes), makeup and skincare review, cool places, lifestyle and selfies.

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

Nothing special about my Instagram name since it’s the same with my own name.

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

VSCO, photogrid, beautyplus, RNI films, APRIL, hyper, Canva and Ultrapic

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

@melodyyokoreilly, @oliviaculpo, @shaym, @kcdelro, @thisisayden, @tarabasro.

6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?

Life hacks that make their life easier, beauty hacks, DIY things, DIY skincare and easy recipes.

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

That people do things and use products based on my honest opinion. Also I love it when people engaged with the topics/contents I post.. it makes me feel that i’m not the only one thinking ‘that’ way about something.

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

Put your brand in your audiences’ shoes. You have to know who your audiences are and you have to touch them emotionally and still be clear about your product’s functions. Especially if your product needs few steps to operate, you can take advantages with Instagram video. I maintain my authenticity by not following trends, instead I take advantages of the new Instagram features.

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

When it comes to contents, quality is important. Audiences don’t want to see blurry pics and obvious editing on your selfies. Also they don’t want to see similar pictures over and over again. For example I usually post photo with me in it and the next post will be about something else..

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

That I can experience the products so I can give them honest opinion and make the products as my audiences’ problem solver.
