Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: Aniyah Cotton @muaaniyahc

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

I am a 17 year old girl. I am most interested in makeup. I am now doing youtube and instagram. I post on youtube from 2 to 4 times a week and same with instagram. I have a little over 2,000 followers on instagram and sadly, only 94 subscribers on youtube. I am from Atlanta, Georgia.

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

My topics of interest are makeup and hair, but mostly makeup. On instagram, I typically post pictures of my hair and my makeup.

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

I came up with my instagram name by just combining what I want to do as a career with my name.

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

I use facetune and befunky to edit my photos. I typically edit them first with facetune. I like to blur the background of the pictures to have my face or body be the focus, I also add detail to make any colors and textures stand out. After that I might use befunky to add text if the photo is a thumbnail for one of my videos.

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

I like a plethora of instagramers. Some of them are @kkimthai, @poeticdrugs, and @__enimsay. The instagramer that inspires me the most is @xomaggieeee. She also is small youtuber and she reminds me of myself.

6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?

The new insta story feature. It is like snapchat, but it is on instagram. I have more followers on instagram than I do on snapchat, so I typically get more views on my instastories than my snapchat stories.

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

The face that I get to inspire others with their art and help others learn more about how to do makeup.

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

I love Anastasia Beverly Hills. They always have great products. I remain authenticity by just remaining honest about my opinions on products.

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

I think that original content and personality is more important than quality. Quality may get people to click on your video, however, your content and personality is what is going to get them to listen to what you have to say and actually follow you to stick around for your future posts.

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

I have not partnered with any brands at the moment, however, I feel like if i were to partner with a brand, my favorite part of that would be getting to know more people through the networking of the company.
