Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: Adika Suhari @suhariadika

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

I’m Adika Suhari also known as suhariadika, 22 years old and a lifestyle and travel photographer based in Germany. I’ve done a lot of travelling to places like China, France, Hawaii, Iceland, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, New Zealand, USA and many more.

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

I am a photographer through and through. My everyday life is determined by photography. However, I’m also interested in film-making and everything tech-related. I like to post photos that tells the audience a story. Therefore, the photos are mostly from my travels and trips.

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

For me, it was a relatively simple decision making my own name as my official Instagram handle. As a result, my audience isn’t only attached and interested in my profession but also in me as a person behind the camera.

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

When I’m on the go and have no notebook at hand, I only use ProCamera to shoot my photos and VSCO to edit them on my smartphone. However, if you want to get the full potential of a photo, you should edit your photos in Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop. I don’t have one photo-editing routine simply because every photo is unique and has to be edited differently. Just get into your editing software and try to experiment with the sliders!

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

My absolutely favorite Instagram feed is most likely the @beautifuldestinations one. They combine incredible photographer’s photos into one feed and share it to the whole Instagram community. Another inspiring Instagrammer is definitely @andrejosselin. He’s a phenomenal story-teller and his style of editing is unique and timeless. You should definitely check him out!

6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?

Be yourself! It’s okay to get inspired by other photographers and try to replicate certain methods but it’s way more authentic to develop your own style. You can always mimic a result, but not the creativity.

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

It gives me the ability to connect with a lot of people from all around the world and work with them together on certain projects. Having an audience is also an incredible privilege to get feedback for your work.

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

Don’t work with influencers who don’t represent your goals and values. It’s way better to work with people who are truly passionate about your brand rather than to work with someone who might have a larger audience.

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

Quality over quantity! Poor quality content doesn’t peak interest and there are many content creators who are posting insanely high quality content. You have to make yourself stand out.

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

I can create amazing content for my audience and be authentic while advertising. Furthermore, it’s giving me the acknowledgement that I’m certainly doing the right thing with my content creation.
