Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: Aida @Chanellearetha

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

I am from Singapore. I work full time in a healthcare sector and am doing my degree part-time. Apart from that, I do blogging however I’d love to purse videography or try out photography in future.

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

My topics of interests are mostly about life, relationships and music. I feel that every person we meet brings with us their own values and take on life and it is always interesting to find out things from a different perspective. My posts are mostly selfies of myself (haha very much a narcissistic person) but I just enjoy getting dolled up and proud of my “artwork” that is on my face. Sometimes, I do post photos which MIGHT SEEM racy to others but I look at it as a way of appreciation that I have for body parts , i.e collarbones , side boobs, lips.

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

I started out my blog when I was 13. Back then it was just a blog filled with rambles of a young teenager, then I stopped for a while and decided to use the same name so that my “then” readers would somehow be able to find me again.

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

I can’t live with VscoCam. I think that is one of the most bestest photo editing app ever.

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

I follow a lot of beauty instagrammers because I love makeup and I just get most of my inspirations from them.

My favs are : marycake and rumineely

6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?

Try to be themselves because I feel that there is just too many cases of “trying so hard to be someone else” on Instagram these days.

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

I wouldn’t regard myself as an influencer. I am just a girl whose blog is there for people to read whenever they need to because eventually, after what I write on my blog is just something that maybe they can read to make themselves feel better or just look at things differently.

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

Currently not running for any campaigns.

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

I feel that if you are an Influencer, you have to be real and if a particular campaign is doing something that you feel isn’t right, then you should just opt out from it rather than going ahead with it because your readers are your assets and the last thing you want to do is to deceive them or get involved in a particular campaign that just does not make any sense.

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

The exposure, the responsibility and the opportunity. 🙂
