Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: Zuri November @ZuriNovember

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

A creative! Writing is one of my passions, including fashion, music (definitely music) and photography. I able a bit in the Dramatic Arts as well. i am currently a high school student in South Africa

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

I love poetry and fashion. I usually post very artistic photographs with a good quote from a poem or a song. i also love body art so i post my body a lot. fashion is also a big feature on my feed.

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

The name Zuri means Beautiful in Swahili, and November is my birth month. So with my deep love for Africa, i came up with the legendary name. lol.

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

Well, i usually take the picture with my actual camera or the one on my iPhone, and i edit it with VSCO Cam, then i put my signature watermark, and then i share it on Instagram, Facebook, Tumblr and Twitter with a beautiful caption and my signature hashtags #zuri #highkeyugly #thegrainmaster #melanin

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

I don’t really have an instergrammers who inspires me. Most of my inspiration comes from Tumblr, and i go to art museums a lot. So i constantly surround myself with art and inspiration in that domain.

6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?

Body art!! it is the most beautiful art because it teaches one to love and appreciate one’s self. It allows youth see yourself as a beautiful, imperfect work of art.

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

seeing how my work encourages other people to do better and be better, because one of my biggest drives is to see people happy and feeling beautiful. so its most satisfying when my work as these results on people.

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

Content! people love seeing behind the scenes. what it takes to make the shoe their wearing, or the process of making a hit track.

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

people can smell fake from a mile away. always keep it original. inspiration is everywhere so originality is just a matter of looking and you’ll find the created spark. quality also has to be on par, because a bad quality product will ruin and tarnish a brand. the power of social media.

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

meeting the people behind the brand. the beautiful, creative minds that are the genius behind the amazing product/service and brand
