Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: Yolan Post @NotGoingHome

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

My name is Yolan Post, and I run the travel & lifestyle blog ‘NotGoingHome’ on Instagram and YouTube.
I decided to travel the world for at least one year consecutively in December 2015. Quitting his job as a ‘Marketing & Sales Director’ for a European music television channel. And waving his girlfriend and friends goodbye at the airport. Only to be accompanied by his action camera and drone to capture his adventures on film.

Originally i’m from Amsterdam, The Netherlands.

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

Travel, Gadgets and Fashion.

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

I really wanted to have a name that people could relate with, and would have a good sense of what they were going to see when they check one of my accounts.

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

Adobe Lightroom! Love it, just click the photos on my iPhone or my GoPro and do some editing in Lightroom to get them to look how they are in reality.

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

Loads of Instagrammers that I really like, basically everybody is posting amazing pictures and videos nowadays.

6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?

Yeah, collaborate more and have fun with your fellow IGers.

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

Guess the amount of people that you make happy for a couple of seconds, with something as simple as a picture or video.

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

It’s a partnership, so find something both parties are happy with and have a good feeling about. Other way, it just isn’t gonna work.. For you, for your partner and especially not for the community.

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

The importance of qualitative, original and engaging content is very high. Everybody is just reposting somebody elses content, which doesn’t give you an authentic or unique feel. Something that premium brands, or any brand for that matter, should really want.

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

The fact that you inspire and push each other to do even better, cooler things!
