1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?
My name is Saeid Moridi and I was born in 1994. A born and bred product of Bandar Abbas, Iran. I’m currently a senior student at IAU of Qeshm, studying Software Engineering. Although I’m not very good at “software engineering” if you know what I mean. (Everyone knows what I mean.) However, I’m quite passionate about photography.
2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?
I mostly do portraits, videography and night photography. One of the things that I love to photograph most is cityscapes at night. This primarily consists of location scouting, carrying the equipments, and so on. Location scouting by itself means exploring, and I love to explore my city (or any city in particular) as much as possible and find the hidden spots.
3) How did your Instagram name come about?
Not many people know this, but long before I stumbled upon photography, I used to do rap music. That’s where the term “MC” (“Microphone Controller” aka rapper) in my Instagram username came from. A few years ago, I decided to give it up as I didn’t see a future in it.
4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!
I exclusively use VSCO and Lightroom, and I almost always use both when editing a photo. First, I import and edit the photo—doing mostly adjustments—using Lightroom on my laptop. Then, I transfer the edited photo onto my phone and add a little bit of a VSCO preset as I see fit.
There are a variety of VSCO presets that I use, including HB1, F1, K2, C2, etc.
5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?
I’d have to say, @anthonyn1cholas and @jnsilva.These two are the best. I have learned so much from them by just following their work.
6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?
Get out there, do what you love, and meet other amazing and awesome people; as for over the last two years, I’ve met so many passionate and talented minds—both virtually and in person—through Instagram, some of whom I now call my best friends.
7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?
It’s like they say, be the change you wish to see in the world.
8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?
Reach out to creative minds.
9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?
Quality is what gives value to the product.
10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?
I always love a new challenge, and I like to stay creative. And I figured the best way to do that is partner up with brands and see where it gets me.
