Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: Ying Wu @P.x.e.y

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

I was born in China, but I came to New York when I was 5, so I was practically raised here. I am currently a full time college student with a part time job at Kung Fu Tea, and I model on instagram for fun.

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

I like modeling and eating. I like being in front of a camera, because it gives me the ability to become someone I’m not. It also gives me the ability to express emotions I usually don’t express in real life.

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

I’m in a sorority and my name is Pixie, so my instagram name is a play on the spelling. They named me Pixie because I’m small and flit around everywhere.

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

I use foodie, Meitu, and camera 360.

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

I really like theamazingknight, sh.rley, gioxsoto, and itssangtime.

6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?

Food!

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

I get to share my work 🙂

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

I’ve never run campaigns, so I don’t really know yet.

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

Be yourself because nobody can really replace you even if don’t feel that way.

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

Meeting new people / experiencing new things .
