Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: Alexia Castellano @Therealamaf

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

My name is Alexia aka AMaF and I am born and raised in NYC. I am currently modeling & I am the CEO of Mafia Girls & Wise Guys Network. This network brings together all entertainment platforms to help each other find new & interesting projects to work on individually as well as collaboratively.

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

My main topics are Fashion and music. As we all know they are intertwined. I cover/ attend both fashion and music events and these are basis of my posts.

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

Easy peasy…it’s my name! ?

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

Even though I rarely if ever need to use it, I use Facetune which I love because it allows you to edit any imperfections big and small. I also absolutely love InstaFit which allows me to display an entire picture on IG.

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

I absolutely love Fabolous. He is a fashionable talented musician and the most insightful OG I’ve ever come across. I can’t go a day without seeing what he is up to. As for who inspires me the most, Christina Milian! She is absolutely gorgeous! I have been told that I am her doppelgänger. I’m on her fan page and I am actual recipient of a personalized autograph picture of her. She is one of the most well dressed women I’ve ever seen, she wears her makeup immaculately, and her skin is ridiculously smooth and it glows. She’s a single mom who has it all… a clothing line (We Are Pop Culture), a line of wines (Viva Diva Wines), and she’s a phenomenal singer. She’s always working! I wanna be just like her!!!

6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?

You have to absolutely try Arabica Coffee Scrub from New York Biology. This scrub has changed my life my skin is soft and replenished. You can see a major difference in my skin, especially around my inner thighs. I no longer have ingrown hairs and the small dark spots I had are gone.

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

I have so many people tell me I inspire them to go out “grind” (get money). I get a lot of “I wanna be like you when I grow up which is hilarious since I’m so young and most people who make these comments and older then me…LOL

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

HASHTAGS!!! A minimum of 20…It gets you attention from all social media. Hashtags cross over from IG to Twitter to Facebook to Tumblr therefore reaching a wider audience.Always remember that while you are representing a brand the reason you were picked to represent the brand is because of your personality. So keep the brand at the forefront while never letting your personality be outshined… you are just as important.

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

Well first and foremost quality is of utmost importance. Human beings are very visual and need to see clear images, when things are out of focus or grainy, interest wanes and they move on to something else. As for original content people want to know and see what’s new and what’s happening. So it’s important to showcase new pictures and videos of events such as fashion shows, concerts, award shows, clothing, etc… this keeps them coming back for more.

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

To be honest… free stuff! I love free swag!!!
