1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

Hi! My name is Vicki, I’m a social worker and I’m currently also doing my masters online for my MSW all the while raising my two young babies (3, and 1) with my hubby! I am from B.C., Canada and currently my hubby and I are selling our first home and purchasing a new home so we are going to be having fun house hunting and decorating soon’

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

I started my blog due to the stigma around infertility but also to speak out of the silence that it affects some communities a little more than others and the taboo around not having kids the old fashion way! Also I post a lot of outfits of the days since I love fashion and the fun adventures around town and travel

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

I chose brown_girl_infertility not because only coloured people go through infertility but because being a coloured person coming from a community that shamed you for infertility I wanted to break barriers and normalize unconventional ways around becoming a mother!

6) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

I like sharing and paying it forward and helping others that are to afraid to ask for help! I love learning from others and how many share great products and tips!

7) What’s your favorite part about StarNgage? Any exciting campaigns that you have joined through StarNgage before?

I just recently joined starngage! I love how there are campaigns that are International and others more specific to where I’m from (Canada)

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

I unapologetically myself. I empathize with others but I’m social and not afraid to use my voice and I love humour! I think it’s important for brands to reach out to minorities too and also diversify their client base

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

I think quality over quantity is important because then your followers know their going to get real talk also it builds trust

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

I think it’s an opportunity for both party’s to grow and also to expand exposure. I think it’s important to include ethnic minorities and that including them in campaigns hits sooo many people that also use the products
