Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: Trisha Maleno @trishabeann

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

I’m nineteen years old, enjoy long walks through the forest after it’s rained, and hate spring. I’m a freshman, soon to be sophomore, in college. I study English and Education as my majors and I’m from just outside of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

I enjoy fashion and make-up/beauty. I post a lot of selfies or group photos of my friends.

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

My instagram name came from a nickname from a friend. It’s nothing special, but it stuck and all of my social media URL’s are trishabeann

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

I use snapchat filters mainly, or no filters at all. Occasionally, if I feel the need for some editing, I’ll use BeautyPlus, which is an absolute lifesaver when I skip make-up for a day and look a little less than alive.

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

I enjoy Arzaylea and Sahlt_. They’re both very aesthetically pleasing Instagrammers that post about fashion and beauty mainly. I’d love to be up in their leagues one day.

6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?

M.A.C mineralize skinfinish powder. This isn’t going to strike home for any of my male followers that aren’t into make-up, but it’s an absolutely amazing product that I can’t get enough of. 10 out of 10 recommend.

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

I’m not actually an influencer yet, but I look forward to becoming one and building a strong influence and growth.

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

As of now, seeing as I’m not running any campaigns, I don’t really have any tips that are fool-proof and proven, but, with a little common sense, I’d say having actually used the product and genuinely liking it is definitely a perk. If you’re pleased with it, others will be, too. That goes for maintaining authenticity, too. Stay genuine and people will continue to follow and listen to you.

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

In today’s world, quality is so important. No one wants cheap make-up that irritates skin or causes acne, and no one ever wants to own a shirt that falls apart as soon as it’s pulled on. Having a good picture of a product, maybe different angles, too, is always a plus. It gives the viewer different angles on a pair of jeans, or how a highlighters looks on different skin tones. Show a side picture of how the jeans look on thighs and buttocks, is it slimming or does it make you look frumpy? Where are rips at? Some people might not like rips below the knee or high on the thigh. Original content is super important, too. People clearly follow for YOUR opinion on these products, so give them your thoughts! Always stay true to your page and your followers, don’t deceive them to try and skirt around an issue that you may find but still want to gain on.

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

Again, I’m not partnered with any brands yet, and I don’t think I’m capable to answer this as I have no prior knowledge to base my answer off of.
