Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: Sherwina Deepa Devanbu @Sherwina.dx

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

Let’s go with how I would introduce myself as Sherwina and for short Sher. I am currently interning in a Public Relations Agency. Born in Selangor, currently living in PJ but home is in Seremban 2, Negeri Sembilan.

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

The topic of interest would revolve around food and drinks, entertainment and a bit of fitness. Anything and everything that ables me to network. Currently, my postings are laid back, places I’ve visited and mainly pictures of people who inspire me. I am also working on a new approach that would make my Instagram more interactive and not just pictures of myself.

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

My first name which is Sherwina was very much for the public to use and the dx which D represents Deepa my middle name and X is basically a value that is not yet known. Directs back to what I would and could be known for.

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

The honest truth most of my pictures do not have edits, how you see them is how it has been taken. Basic editing would be to play around with the brightness, the richness of the image and some pictures I do remove certain elements on the photo captured.

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

Jane Chuck who is an Entrepreneur & the Founder of Chuck’s – has very minimal elements but the pictures speak the message
aliazaita is another Instagrammer who I am able to relate much with and she produces content on Youtube and she is certainly a vibe.

6) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

I would not claim myself as an influencer on the virtual end but if it’s to influence close friends and to make sure what I preach out there is what I practice. I would be glad to share it with the world.
But a favourite point I could see myself in would be to know that there are people who share the same POV and even if it’s different it keeps the conversation going.

7) What’s your favorite part about StarNgage? Any exciting campaigns that you have joined through StarNgage before?

I have not joined any of the campaigns, however, I came across this while I was looking for KOLs for my own research purposes.

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

Referencing other people’s work never forget to create and lots of research to help generate and create authenticity.
Know who your target audience is, where are they based, what’s their generation gap and most importantly try to get all the races involved in a campaign. Never be biased in narrowing it down to one race give the same opportunity and see how the campaign spreads out evenly.

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

It creates an identity for one’s self and people would certainly be able to notice that you stand out. Helps create a creative direction of whatever the campaign or post would be that is able to target a specific audience and convey the message accurately. Most importantly increases the engagement rate.

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

The plain truth is who does not like free stuff but my aim would be to give my honest review and also see what the potential of the brand is and what can they do in the future.
