Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: Serkan Yagci @lemumin

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

I am an industrial Engineer working as a Business consultant at the German stock exchange. I am born in Germany with turkish origin and I am a practicing Muslim.

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

I am mainly interested in men’s fashion with a Focus on business outfits. I do post my outfits I do wear at work and in my private life. As I do love watches and bracelets I do post a lot of Details also. In stories I do post some stuff from my private life mainly Travel and food as I do love cooking and Travel.

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

Mu’min means practicing muslim and I started my Account as “thedappermuslim” but as some people felt offended by this I changed the Name. My goal was to show that even someone who iş practicing islam in a very straight way, can look good and have style. Now people who have a first look on my profile Dont See that i am a practicing Muslim But Muslim people and interested Fans will know.

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

It’s maybe surprising but I only use the instagram app and I also did use my iPhone 6 to take the shots.
Right now i am looking for a DSLR cam as I do get a lot of inquiries for Advertising. I think afterwards I will also look for a different editing app.

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

I would say the person who inspired me The Most was @iamgalla. He was the reason I started. As I do not show my face in my posts I get Inspirations from fellow instagrammers like @thefilteredfit or @jimbonutzz. What I need to say is that i got to like @_gioserna a lot after instagram launched “stories” he reminds me Of Michael Penà.

6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?

If they are Not Using stories they should do it to give some private impressions. Most of the people want to know how we live and what we do in our daily life. This way people who are more interested get us to know better.

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

I do love it if people appreciate my style and ask me for advice for their wedding or prom or Job Interview. One other thing is to get featured in big men’s fashion pages like @mensuitsteam or @menstyleteam who I want to thank for their appreciation.

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

There are a lot of Brands especially in the watch and bracelets sector, which do sell the same products and the only thing which differs is the Brand Name. Even the product shots have the same style. To be authentic the Brands need something unique. İf it is not the Name then they should go for their own style of product shots. This is what I am also working on with different Brands. Where we aim to have me acting as a Single Source for product shots with unique poses which make the Brand more recognizable and add some profession to the Brand. It’s the small things which make the difference between a seller of Chinese products with their own Label and the authentic Brand which you can trust.

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

The quality of the Content makes people trust the Brand and gives confidence in the quality of the product. Which also has a great impact on the price. It’s the Brand which give the value. A Gucci piece can be Of the same quality of a medicore Brand but the Brand has it’s value which makes the difference in price. To achieve this Brands also need to be honest with themselves and keep their line even if it gets hard Sometimes.

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

You get to know a lot of people and it’s fascinating what Kind of people start successfull businesses. You can experience their Lifestyle and I need to say Most of them are Not the guys with University degrees but people who have the Guts to try something and take the risk. And of course I love to examine the quality of the products. If I really like the product I also Sometimes do the shots for free.
