Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: Selina @abookishthought

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

Hi, I am Selina, I am 20 and I run the Instagram account “abookishthought” where I feature pictures of my favorite books and my current reads. I also share book reviews and recommendations. I love interacting with my fellow book lovers in my comments and hear their thoughts on the books in my pictures or their favorite books.

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

I mostly post pictures featuring books in nature or in front of a white background. I am just trying to celebrate the art of books and my love for them.

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

My Instagram name was just me playing around. I was thinking about books and their effect on me and most books make me think. About love, life and all the complications coming with it. And since I share all my thoughts on books on my Instagram I think “abookishthought” was suiting quite well

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

I mostly use VSCO cam ad Afterlight to edit my photos. But I mostly use them to crop and brighten the pictures right after I took them. 🙂

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

I really love the EpicReads Instagram page. Harper Collins does a fantastic job at only marketing and their pictures always are so well thought out and beautifully installed.

6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?

Just try to be true to yourself and your interests and you will find your own audience

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

I love connecting with my followers in comments or DMs and discussing the latest releases and the newest book obsessions

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

I try to adapt products to my followers and only use products I really love and actual use.

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

You should figure out what you style is and stay true to it. Be creative and make it look always like yourself. Don’t try copying someone else.

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

Unfortunately I have not been lucky enough to work with a brand yet. But I really look forward to working with a brand in the future.
