Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: Rebecka @awkwardnews

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

My name is Rebecka and I live in the beautiful country Sweden. I am a social and active girl who loves to meet new people. Right now I am in school and studying economics which is exactly what I want to do.

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

My account on Instagram is a fan account for MTV’s show “Awkward”. Most of my post are edits that i make myself of different scenes. Otherwise I post pics of the members of the show. In other words i basically post photos or edits related to the show.

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

My Instagram name “Awkwardnews” comes from the title of MTV’s name of the show “Awkward”. Since i post news/edits/photos of the show and am active I thought “news” was perfect.

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

First of all I find a scene that i want to share with my followers. Then I use an app to create a collage like “Collageable”, “Pic Collage” or “InstaCollage”. Then I use the app “Phonto” to add text to my photos. Sometimes i even use the app “VSCO” to edit the pic and make it more alive!

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

I really the members of the show’s instagrams; Beau Morchoff, Molly Tarlov, Jillian Rose Reed etc. Also @mtv_awkward.

6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?

Hm… this is a hard one. Maybe a new app, a beauty product, jewelry or accessories etc.

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

My favorite thing about being an influencer is being able to inspire others and share things.

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

My top tips to brands for running campaigns is to be precise, clear and really try to reach out to all people.

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

Stay true.

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

Being able to make new contacts and friends. Partnering with brands where both parties benefit from it.
