Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: Sarah Isis Said-Smith @ssarahisis

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

Hi, I’m Sarah and I’m from Sydney, Australia. Ive been modelling for the last 4 years with renowned agencies not just in Sydney, but also in New Zealand and India! In addition, I’m also studying a Bachelor of Commerce degree at the University of Sydney, majoring in marketing! This gives me awesome insight into how best to promote my model off-duty lifestyle!

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

My interest is just having fun! I often share times when I’m in fun and awesome locations, like one of Sydney’s many addictive beaches, at my favourite cafe’s and any other beautiful scenes i come across in Sydney and overseas! I most often include myself in my photos to better engage with my friends and followers, as i feel it creates a more genuine connection.

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

My Instagram handle came about from my modelling name! I’m represented as Sarah Isis, which is part of my whole name, Sarah Isis Said-Smith.

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

Addicted to Snapseed! This app makes every photo look 10 times better! I often use it to make my photo’s stand out more and look like they’re taken in a trained way. I’ll adjust the ambience, contrast and brightness of all my photos, often making backgrounds whiter and soft, while having myself standout. I’ll then give my photos a final edit through Instagram, often creating a contrasted, sharp image thats lightly filtered to accentuate the depth.

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

Can i say everyone, haha? Honestly there are so many amazing accounts out there who nail producing awesome and consistent content! I really love looking to local style bloggers, like @jadetunchy, @laurajadestone and @_belindaliana_, and combining the inspiration i get from them with cool off-duty model accounts, such as @bambilegit, @jayde_heiser and @cassie_mathews_!

6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?

Slip dresses! So cute and easy to wear, they flatter everyone. Such a great addition to wardrobes everywhere, especially in Sydney with the approaching hot summer months!

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

Getting to support awesome products that deserve as much love as they can get! I think brands and their influencers creating a good support chain is so essential to helping out brands that you not only love the product range of, but care about holistically. In addition, getting to show my friends and increasing follower base these awesome products, services and brands in general makes me feel amazing, as i know i will have just passed on the support chain to new users who can try my recommended commodity.

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

Being relatable! Making campaigns that are down to earth are so important, as it makes it easier for the target market to align itself to a position of buying the product/service themselves. I believe this is why its also great to use a range of influencers who can integrate into many different social circles, whether big or small, to get the message across in an effective and supportive way.

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

Producing quality content is a great advantage over competitors! I think it’s important to make images and video’s which embrace the communities popular values, likes and trends to create content that is original in its own respect to the product, and of high quality as it correctly appeals to the targeted demographic, geographic and psychographic market.

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

Firstly, being able to create a support network of quality products that go above and beyond expectations. Secondly, i love helping brands as it gives me great insight into the marketing industry, which i can try my best to allow myself to personally grow in, and hopefully succeed in my promotional objective.
