Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: RUDY FARHAN @rudyfarhan

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

Hi! I am Rudy Farhan. I am an undergraduate taking my Bachelor (Honours) in Business and Management at Singapore Institute of Management Global Education. I love to blog but usually I will pen down my thoughts on my life but at some point in time, I will write a review or shoutout for my client through my blog. You may look at my blog @ rudyfarhan.blogspot.sg for more information, still an amateur in this blogging industry. I love to travel but I have yet to find time to do so. I used to join dragon boat and it was fun but now, I rather focus on the more important stuff in my life.

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

My topic of interest are lifestyle- ootd, reviews on the products, shoutout of new products/services in town. Now, I post mostly on myself such as selfies and maybe food or gym routine but less on the lifestyle side. So I am trying to change my image to appeal to the people out there such as reviews on the products, travel or maybe like giveaways/quote my name to receive privileges.

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

My Instagram name come from my own personal name.

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

The apps I used to edit my photo will be basically I used filter from the instagram as my camera feature are good so why not, use the instagram filter. If I am a fan of editing of my pictures unless it is needed to do so but originality is the best for me!

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

Not at the moment as I think I will love to get inspired myself from the model that I followed such as menstyleguide and guyswithstyle. From it, I love this Instagrammer that inspires me the most is @edwardzo from Los Angeles. Why I said so? Love his fashion sense and how he train himself to get the perfect body.

6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?

Maybe trying out new thing like beauty related reviews.

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

My favourite part about being an influencer is to expand my network by getting new people out there. Who knows I might be learning new thing each day!

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

Some of my top tips to brands for running campaigns are expose their products/services through social media platforms and giving the target audience in terms of promotions or benefits. This will help them to have a better image and gain more people interested in their products. Doing it quarterly will be good.
I maintain authenticity by requesting them to use their products/services and post it through my blog and social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

My advice is always be original in whatever I post and no misleading information when doing so or else the image of the brands will be tarnished. Stick to what the brands want and be ready to add more appealing thing to the target audience.

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

I like best about partnering with brands will be getting to used the products for example: beauty products like Kiehl and experimenting it on myself. Not only that, I am gaining more knowledge on the products and services provided by the brands itself while knowing more people who are in this industry.
