Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: Roxanne Pelardy @la_petite_perruche

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

I am a french blogger who is passionated about a lots of things: fashion, homemade and natural beauty treatments (hair mask, face mask…), travels… I want to travel the world and am at the moment in Australia for one year to explore the country (I will also go to New Zealand and New Caledonia). I love animals, my dream would be to work with them, take care of them and I am currently searching for a place to do voluntary work with animals. I am a vegetarian and I am a very enthusiast person who loves meeting new people and discover new cultures !

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

I mostly post pictures of landscapes in the countries I’ve been. I can also post some photos of animals or some cooking recipes/look of the day kind of thing.

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

There is a french humorist that I like a lot who made a sketch about “la petite perruche” and it’s the french word for a bird which is a budgerigar. I also love that bird, so I thought “why not”?

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

I don’t really retouch my images because I like people to see what I actually saw and not be disappointed once they get to that place. Moreover I think that landscapes are absolutely beautiful just the way they are, so why alter that?

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

I love a lot of instagramers like gypsea-lust, brunomaltor, carnetstraverse, doyoutravel, mimikonn… In my opinion they all have something special that inspires me.

6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?

Just follow their dreams and trust that everything is possible.

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

I love being able to show my followers new parts of the world that are amazing, even when it’s so close to where you live but you don’t know it exists. I hope it encourage them to get out and explore the outside world.

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

I maintain authenticity like I said by not retouching my images and I only share what I actually love and what made me feel something at the time I took the photography. I add little details, and give some informations at the bottom of the pictures if people are interested.

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

When you post a picture you should not think “Are people going to like it ?” “Is that good enough ?”. You have to follow your heart and trust your opinion : if you truly like your picture, then others will understand it and like it too. To me, it’s what makes an original content.

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

I love being able to give visibility to small brands that I think have great values and deserve to be known. Too many companies offer amazing things and are not known to their true value. If the brand is already famous, then I get to work with a company that I love and I am obviously more than happy to talk about them.
