1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?
I was born and raised in Pretoria, but currently live In Midrand now and I am currently finishing my Matric year.
2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?
I try to be myself as possible, as well as have quite a variety. I post abstract things like flowers or food… then post myself and the places I have been, as well as my outfits.
3) How did your Instagram name come about?
My full name is Reneilwe, shortened is rene, so I basically wanted people to know that “iiamrenes”
4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!
I use three apps to edit my photos. I use VSCO; Moldiv and Snapseed. My edit routine is tough?, I firstly use VSCO to determine what filter I want, adjust the brightness and contrast if need be, then I move on to Snapseed to whiten the backgrounds of my photos( I’m hoping to have a white themed Instagram page).
5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?
I have quite a few. Shoneze is definitely an inspiration to me, as well as two friends of mine Tsaki and Refiloe. They all remain true to themselves and their Instagrams look amazing. They don’t worry about the number of followers they have or likes they receive. Simultaneously, they are quite consistent which is important as an instagrammer.
6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?
The all white theme?,, and really just posting for themselves instead of the world.
7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?
Firstly, I wasn’t aware that I was an influencer so it’s incredible to find out??, Secondly, I think just inspiring people out there on social media, just to be themselves and to be creative.
8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?
Authenticity is always just remaining true to yourself and really portraying yourself through your work. Do not conform to what everyone else is doing, rather do what makes you happy. Make sure you’re having fun.
9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?
Everyone out there is trying to be something they are not, what will make you stand out is if you stay true to who you are. Be creative with your posts, do not think within the borders of a box, play around with ideas… You are sure to produce quality that way.. And find yourself.
10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?
I have not partnered with any brands as yet, but I hope to soon. Hopefully Zara and Woolworths
