Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: Rachel @racheyflies

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

I work as a first class flight attendant for Emirates. Been working for Emirates for almost 6 years.
I’m originally from Melbourne, Australia down under 🙂

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

Travel photos from my layovers, and things that i love to do, wear and eat on my days off in Dubai. I take many photos not just about my travelling as I want to show my personality as well.

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

Rachey being my nickname, and flies from being a flight attendant ! Put them together and you get racheyflies

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

Facetune, Afterlight, VSCO are my saviors

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

Not too much, I try to be different in not sticking to one theme, and not just one genre.

6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?

Snug application, it allows you preview and move around your photos before publishing!

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

The beautiful dm messages i receive from young Emirates hopefuls and of course the ability to meet some amazing people.

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

Using bright colour schemes is always a big win with people. Using quotes as well can really lift someones spirit as well. Authenticity is best achieved by being yourself, don’t post something you’re not comfortable with wearing or something that can make you seem like someone you’re not. Life is supposed to be fun not stressful.

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

Editing and enhancing is fine along as its not taken to the extremes. Its a relief for people to know you are real. You are a real person.

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

You can meet so many interesting people. We’re all in this together and being a team is such a beautiful thing to co exist in.
