1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

I am a freelance makeup artist residing in New Zealand, originally from Malaysia.

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

Lip swatches, mini makeup tutorial, makeup looks, product shots and reviews.

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

Makeup is my passion and Rachel’s my name it’s pretty straight forward lol

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

I use Instagram filters ( brightness, contrast, shadow and sharpen) and FaceTune app (tones and smooth)

I am so obsessed with Mabel and meg lumilixir vitamin C serum! My skin feels and looks amazing!!

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

Getting positive and constructive feedback from larger audience

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

Be original, be open to criticism, talk to your audience, look after the influencers whom you work with (build good rapport with them)watermark all your posts be it video or photo.

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

Don’t copy other’s work 100%, improvise it and be creative and most of all have fun! Share products that are genuinely good in terms of quality so your followers get to experience the amazing products themselves, they will love you for that!

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

I love being creative! When a brand I genuinely like approaches me I always suggest to do a video post as filming and editing excites me haha!
