Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: Portia Williams @Portiaferrari

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

I currently live in London but I’ve lived in America & the Canary Islands also. I am a bit of a creative, I am a hair and makeup artist, I model, I’m a creative director of a fashion and arts magazine and I am a signed actress as well. I also dabble in styling.

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

Mostly great beauty products and clothes that I want to share and promote, my professional image work, promotion and awareness of positive organisations that I support and follow

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

The first half is my actual name and the second ‘Ferrari’ is a nick name that just ended up sticking, it’s a play on my actual name sounding like a car 🙂

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

I use vsco for general editing, brightness, sharpness etc and for any details needed I use Facetune, it’s great for bringing out colour and getting it really clear!

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

I really love @charliexbarker’s originality and youthful artistic style of posting, @juicegee for her love of trainers and attitude. @kayla_itsines for her positive curvy fit body motivation and @nasa for it’s incredible info about the stars and planets I’m obsessed

6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?

To not fear trying out different things, different styles of posting, subjects etc, I think if you don’t branch out you’ll lose the possibility of something that actually ends up being more beneficial for your profile

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

Being able to have a positive influence in more than one way on people from all over the world! What better?!

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

I believe that if you have an organic ethos with true substance it will always stick out and be respected and will connect people on such a level that you can’t help but get better as more people discover you. Create an idea that you truly believe in and it’s easy to not get distracted and develop it to the best of its capacity.

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

Same as above. Truly believe in what you post and follow, research and the rest is a piece of cake.

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

I think it’s fantastic, when you collaborate it gives you an opportunity to try something a little different then you normally do which helps to expand your awareness of your reach and helps you explore – possibilities are endless from both sides
