Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: Patricia Lim @tenshichn

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

A KL lass, I started blogging by sharing about rants and personal scribbles of my life at the age of 15 and my blogging slowly evolves to sharing of lifestyle, travel and eating experiences. Good or bad, I hope to benefit my readers and by sharing knowledge and experience they never had and assisting them to make better judgement. 🙂

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

My interest are always travelling, going on a foodie journey and also sharing of my current lifestyle. I share mostly of products, and events which interest me hoping to inspire my followers. 🙂

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

My instagram name was adopted from my blog name TenshiChn which translates to Little Angel, where I get lost in my silent reverie.

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

I usually use picsart, vsco for general photo editing of colour, cropping and adding text. As for portrait photos, I will turn to photowonder or meitupic to enhance facial beauty. However, most of the time, I would prefer unedited facial photos taken from my One Plus One and my Sony Alpha 5100.

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

Cheesie is the instagrammer which have always been my inspiration as she seems to be at her true self most of the time. She changed with time but her friendly personality has always been around.

6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?

If there’s anything which I think my fellow instagrammers need to try now, it would be to create a balance of real life and virtual life enjoyment. Instagrammers have evolved to virtual self satisfaction more than real life, I hope they came to realise that it is important to enjoy life itself instead of just creating a virtual world which seems perfect to everyone out there.

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

If I ever influence anyone, I hope it is to change them to a better person, to be a happier person. That would make me the happiest. (:

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

When running campaign, do not follow other people just because they are the hot topic now. Take them as reference, but create your own identity. Be original and that will inspire and attract people who are interested in your brand and identity.

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

People like to see and get inspired by big things and perfection, however, if you are just putting up a facade for your followers to get inspired, it is creating believes which are fake and hope which are unattainable. Be real, get connected to followers by sharing your true experience. When followers feel the same, they will feel connected to you like you know them.

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

It is best to partner with brands who gives you full freedom to share true experience instead of requesting you to put up a facade and spread untruthful positive claims about them. It will only make followers disappointed when they found out and experience the opposite from what was initially claimed or promised.
