Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: Oksana Hassel @fifty_shades_of_vogue

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

I was born in Krasnoyarsk, Russia and adopted when I was almost four years old and grew up in Colorado. I am an all around artist, and athlete. Fashion is my main love and passion. I am currently working as a gymnastics coach, and part time artist/photographer.

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

I mainly post my fashion outfits and artsy selfies. Fashion is how I express myself best. Other topics of interest include, sports, fitness, art, climbing, nature, and so many more things.

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

I came up with my Instagram name kind of randomly. I was trying to think of a clever name that would hook people in. As for fashion goes, I love to wear anything, from full on suits, to skirts, dresses, I love to wear any sort of fashion. So with that, I thought it would be a clever name to give a hint that I am more than one specific fashion style.

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

I mainly use VSCO and the Instagram filters themselves as far as editing goes. For framing and collages I use Moldive, and Whitagram mainly.

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

There are too many instagrammers I like, anything fashion is great. I am a huge fan of Cara Delevigne, and Kendall Jenner, @thestreetograph, and Chiara Ferragni are some of my top favorites. They inspire my wardrobe and travel dreams.

6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?

One thing my fellow instagrammers should try is to be bold and make a statement, try something new. Forget what other people think or say. There will always be people who don’t like your decisions, but you make your choices for yourself, not others. Get that edgy hairstyle, try that new outfit you never thought you could pull off, climb a mountain, try a new sport, anything. Just be yourself and try something new.

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

I love helping people. And to be an influencer would be awesome because I get to give my 10¢ into what I know about fashion, art and sports. I hope people take my advice and put their own spin to make it their own that they can then share with others.

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

A top tip would be to take what the brand and campaign give you and put your personality spin on it. Let the person who’s taking on the brand to have fun and be free with it. It will keep authenticity as well as add expression to it.

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

Stay true to who you are, and have fun with it. It’s important to keep your content original as there are so many similar accounts out there. What will set you a part from the rest of the alike accounts? You have to make people look, and the only way you can do that is to be original and unique.

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

I love working with people, getting and sharing new ideas, receiving gifts and helping further my career and passions as well as the brands identity.
