1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?
I am currently a student at the University of North Carolina in Charlotte. I am originally from Canada. I am waiting to be accepted into either the architecture or graphic design program. I am currently starting a blog and youtube channel and expanding my creative outlets.
2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?
photography, design and the beach. I usually post either about my personal life, food, paddleboarding or any photography shots I’m proud of.
3) How did your Instagram name come about?
My name is really common, so i had to try several different ways to get even half my name in my handle. It just kinda happened and I’m happy with it.
4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!
Vsco mainly. I do have aviary and snapseed but I rarely use them. I try not edit my photos too much because I want it be natural and shown exactly what I photograph. If I do edit, its just simply adjusting contrast, brightness and sometimes temperature.
5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?
I follow a lot of professional photographers and bloggers, they inspire me to get out there and explore. I can’t pick just one but, the ones that have clear, beautiful and photos of what is outside our front door interests me.
6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?
Becoming a brand rep. It’s great, you have the potential to make money or earn free merchandise. But some companies you get to be in contact with them, they end up being so nice and willing to work with you. You can get to go behind the scenes and learn more than just making of the shirt.
7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?
Oh everything! Being able to photograph what I love and what interests me. Also, being able to spread the word, especially about things people don’t have to much knowledge about. It just makes me feel a little special and that even if I’m just spreading the word through a Instagram post, I am doing something.
8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?
Just being natural and down to earth. Common courtesy and willing to help goes a long way. I like when brands show they care and want to help. When a brand actual puts in effort to work with the influencer as well, and you go back and forth discussing that means so much more.
9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?
Its very important. People aren’t going to follow you and stick with you if you don’t post stuff that reflects who you are. You need to be yourself and post your interests. I could post beauty tutorials and fashion posts but that is not me. If your photos are blurry its going to be hard for people to not only view your photos but for people to talk about them.
10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?
Well, it is nice to receive free products at times. I like when brands tell me more about their products or how they started, like more than you find on the about us section on their website. I like when you get to see how they actually are, they aren’t just a business making money, they care about their customers.
