1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?
I’m just a girl, who one day decided she wanted to conquer the world her own way. I come from Lisbon, Portugal and when I was growing up I went through really hard things a child shouldn’t never go through. When I reached the age of 20 I decided I needed to leave my country and just find myself, that’s when I came to live in Spain, first Alicante and then Barcelona, I wanted to experience new cultures, new cities, countries, see everything I didn’t get to see when I was growing up. I found a job here in Barcelona and I moved in with my boyfriend who’s also passionate about traveling. I am now 22 and I’ve been to 7 different countries (I had only been in Portugal and France when I was younger) and developed even further my passions!
2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?
My absolute favorite topic is traveling, for sure! Every time I go on vacation I have to take a million pictures so I can show my followers where I’ve been, what they can see in that location, some tips. I just love to be able to share such the amazing experiences I have and maybe inspire others to do the same. I also love to post about fashion in general and my lifestyle.
3) How did your Instagram name come about?
I created my account when Instagram was still a new thing to me and I decided to just go ahead and use my own name (nadia m (maria) pedro). That way I knew people could easily find me and know exactly who I am.
4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!
I have two main apps I always use on my photos, VSCO Cam and FaceTune.
On VSCO i usually use the A5 or A6 filters, and then adjust the brightness, contrast, saturation, temperature which depends on the photo I am editing.
On FaceTune I mainly use Whiten when white backgrounds or props are a bit yellowish, the details when I want to emphasize any aspect of the photo or the filters when part of the photo is darker than the rest and I just need to adjust that part of the photo, the filters of FaceTune are simply perfect for that, because you can erase the parts that do not need anything whatsoever.
5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?
There are two Instagrammers who I follow and that I check their Instagrams on a daily basis:
Mikutas: I just L O V E the way she photographs and edits, her feed is so amazing! Seriously, she is just the best!
Camila Coelho: She is a Brazilian blogger who’s feed is a mix of ootd’s, travels, beauty products, her daily life, make up, and even tough she posts so many things in there, it still looks perfect!
6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?
Instalove stories! I am loving it!! Being able to share my day-to-day life with others without ”ruining’ the quality of the pictures I post on my feed is amazing and you can actually connect on a deeper level with the people who follow you!
7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?
My favorite part of being an influencer is being able to give a honest opinion about everything at all times and being able to inspire people not to give up on their dreams, even if at first they seem unattainable.
8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?
I believe it’s super important to contact with real people who are honest and actually know and like their brand. To be able to give a honest opinion, that person needs to know and like the brand before hand. This will guarantee that not only the brand benefits from the ‘publicity’, but also that the person promoting their products will be completely honest and know about what their talking about.
9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?
Never forget that Instagram is a photography app and in order to be able to connect and grow your community, you need to invest on your feed and the only way to do this, is buy always striving to have the best possible quality and always being your own person, don’t do something because it looked good on someone else. People like realness and they will notice when you’re not being yourself!
10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?
My favorite thing is to be able to show people stuff I like and have good quality and help brands get the recognition they deserve.
