Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: Myles Jarvis @myles.jarvis

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

My name is Myles Jarvis, I am from Stafford County in Virginia. Its a small enough town that you know a lot of people but also big enough that you keep seeing new people. Right now i am attending George Mason University in Fairfax, VA not too far from my hometown. I am pursuing a finance degree but am really passionate about Instagram and social media. I love sharing ideas and fashion pieces with people and Instagram allows me to do that. I am taking my passion and diving head first into it and I know that it is not a smooth ride but will definitely be worth it.

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

My topics of interest are focused on fashion, travel, lifestyle, and just living life to the fullest. life is about having the best time you can and knowing how to take advantage of the small moments. This is what I am trying to portray on my Instagram, but at the moment being that I am in college I am focusing on fashion and lifestyle.

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

My Instagram name doesn’t have to much of an interesting story, not unless you find my name really interesting…. because it is my name.

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

I mostly edit my photos on my laptop using adobe Photoshop. But if i am editing my photos on the go or can’t reach my laptop my go to app is VSCO which offers a wide array of editing options. When I am editing my apps I don’t use any filters or at least heavy filters because it can potentially decrease the quality of your image. So I mainly manipulate the exposure and colors etc. which are basic adjustments. Then I proceed to post the photo to Instagram!

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

There are four main Instagrammers that inspire me most. They are @magic_fox, @kosta_williams, @Sandro , and @Erik.Forsgren. These four Instagram pages are what inspire me to keep posting and to look for new ideas and outfits to wear each day.

6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?

If there’s one thing that my fellow Instagrammers have to try… I would say to gather a couple of close friends and take a road trip and stop in the most beautiful and wonderful places. Because you truly get a new sense of the beauty of places on a road trip.

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

My favorite part of being an influnencer is knowing that people are appreciating my work and look forward to seeing my new post. Along with that I love it when my followers contact me about something that I posted and want to talk about it, it lets me know that I am giving them new advice or information.

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

I can only think of one tip to brands running campaigns in order to keep it authentic. It is to like and comment on peoples social media post when they use the hashtags of their brand. by doing this it makes the brand seem much more personally and lets the consumer know that the brand in fact does pay attention to what they are saying about the brand.

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

I will always say to give the best and highest quality of work when you are posting to social media because it reflects who you are as a person. But in today’s time it is quite difficult to be 100 percent original. But to try and be as original as possible you need to give your own personal twist to it to make it unique to yourself.

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

Partnering with brands is just a fun experience and requires you to venture out of your comfort zone and really be creative in the way that you show the product. Because their are so many different ideas that can come to mind when doing a promotion, it can be very exciting!
