Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: Mina Stuhlman @rockclimbingprobs

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

I’m an athlete and USA Climbing Coach who developed the first Instagram page for Climbing Comedy & Community. @rockclimbingprobs was also the first climbing “meme” page. Over the last few months (during college) the account growth paused because I had to focus on my studies rather than my passion. Now I am happy to have a health background and continue to bring comedy to the climbing community.

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

Comedy and nature, marketing. I have done ads for Adidas Outdoor, helped launch SoiLL’s shoe and leggings and other companies like WOD Welder and TUFA.

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

Rockclimbingprobs aka RCP stands for climbing “problems” or issues on climbers understand. It also is a pun because a “problem” is a major climbing term.RCP is also a brand I own.

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

Nothing or IG filters.

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

TUFA Clinbing and SoiLL, myself, my friends. Artsy people, and outdoorsmen. Brennan Robinson.

6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

That I get to teach others about the roots of climbing as it has gotten lost over the ages with social media dada becoming too prevalent. That’s why I use comedy. I also started it in 2013 before big name companies started trying to took over the climbing world.

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

Kickstarter. Be loyal, double check with partners and communicate.

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

Stay honest. Do it yourself.

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

Collaboration and teamwork, connecting with others and sharing passions.
