Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: Mahgul Asim Kamal @imahgul

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

I’m Mahgul, currently a blogger and brand affiliate for a cosmetics brand, jewellery brand and others. I’m from Karachi,Pakistan and about to shift to Peshawar,Pakistan this December once i’m married.

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

I am a beauty and fashion influencer. Mostly my posts are about clothings, makeup, bags, shoes etc. Apart from that, i’ve done other stuff aswell like gadgets.

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

My name is frankly tough to pronounce for a lot of people. I thought of giving myself the username “imahgul” to tell people i am Mahgul and give my name another look.

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

I use photogrid for collage and that’s it! I don’t edit my pictures.

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

So many other bloggers who’ve worked hard since the beginning to be where they are today. Can’t name all of them.

6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?

Travelling Pakistan more, especially Balochistan which is beautiful yet not reached out by many people.

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

Speaking my mind and influencing people into doing things they find hard like excepting themselves as people that they are and self-love. Apart from that, i do bring a little fashion sense to them too.

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

The brands should leave the work for the influencer so they can freely create their own thing without supervision. Self work has more authenticity to it.

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

People who start something will always be noticed and appreciated than those who follow someone’s already walked-on track. Original speaks for itself.

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

I get to use and explore new stuff and let others know about it too if i like it. This is also my sole medium of income so i put my hardwork into it.
