Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: Michelle Cavestany @michellespersonal

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

Hi, my name is Michelle and my friends call me Mikee. I’m a mixed blood. My mom’s part Indian, part Filipina while my dad is part Italian and part Filipino. I’m 26 years old and is a working student. I was an undergraduate of BEEd (education) then I shifted to BSA (accountancy) and I work as part of the accounting, sales and design team in our company. I have to support myself and wanted to pursue my goal, I think those were one of the reasons why I ended up being in this field. On my spare time, you’ll see me sat by the corner, either writing another story or poem, or playing the organ (piano). I also love collecting books.

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

Aside from my “vanity”, I post my drawings and arts on Instagram. I really love art – just everything about art makes me cranky! You can say I’m in love with art.

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

My Instagram name basically came about because, as it says, personal! It was supposed to be a personal account where I post my “vanity” and other personal random things. It was all personal stuffs until I ended up being an influencer.

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

I mostly use VSCO. It’s really classy and easy to use. Aside from that, I would just use normal shots and just look for the perfect angle and lighting whenever I take a picture.

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

I’m really inspired by Loren Grey. I really like her – her posts and sense of style. I can’t say more, because there’s really a lot of instagrammers to like and they’re all good.

6) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

My favourite part about being an influencer is being able to connect, not just to the brands, but to people as well. Sometimes I would open my account and find really lovely messages on the comment section or in the direct message. They’re all nice and friendly – those brighten my day!

7) What’s your favorite part about StarNgage? Any exciting campaigns that you have joined through StarNgage before?

I love being a part of the StarNgage family! My very first campaign was with Tiktok and I had fun working with that one. I think the most fun thing about that campaign is I get to find out I actually know how to dance! After all these years! LOL.

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

I don’t know but maybe really give small influencers the chance, that sort of thing. I’m not that professional, as well, I admit that. But there’s a lot who got what it takes, they just need a little more push. Also, make the campaigns more fun.

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

Just know what content you want. As simple as that. I know sometimes we get to have the same content like others, but just show off what you got. Not everything is the same, there’s at least a couple that’s gonna be different with your content that will caught your audiences or the brands’ eyes.

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

I think the best part about partnering with brands is the chance they give to small influencers like me. Not everyone would be willing to risk and gives us exposure unless we’re some big time influencers and it is really nice.
