Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: Michela Iannetta @iannettamichela

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

Hello, my name is Michela, I’m 18 and I’m from Italy.
Last year I got my high school diploma and I decided not to quit studying. So last September I started university, becoming an economics student. I hope to get my degree in the next three year,and then move to Florence or Milan to study Fashion management.
Indeed I can’t deny that fashion has always been my biggest passion, and working in the fashion industry is actually my main dream.

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

As I said, fashion is certainly my biggest interest. I’ve been fascinated by dresses, bags, shoes (and not only) since I was a child. Moreover, I’m a very minimalistic person, that’s why my instagram posts always concern the fashion world, but with a special attention for the details. I always say that “it’s all in the details”.

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

I started my instagram account with the nickname “socurlysochic”, because I wanted to find a nickname that could describe me, and it was perfect for two reasons: I’ve got blonde curly hair and if I should describe me in just one word I would describe me as “chic”.
Unfortunately, I had to change my nickname in @iannettamichela (my name and surname) because for so many people finding me on Instagram was very hard.

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

I usually edit my pictures using the Instagram app, VSCO Cam and Squaready.
I start with Squaready, then I upload it on VSCO and adjust lighting, contrast, saturation and temperature. At last, I use the Instagram app for the details, and upload the pic! It’s a very long work, and it takes me so much

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

So many! I adore Cristina Musacchio, because she comes from a small town near mine, Nima Benati (she’s mainly a photographer but I’m in love with her) and obviously Chiara Ferragni. I prefer Italian influencer, but appreciate anyone who posts pictures I can take inspiration from.

6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?

I think we are all different, that’s why everyone should focus on his own values and try to put them on display, it’s not important how and it’s not important how long it takes: success takes time, and it comes from passion and devotion.

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

I don’t consider myself an “influencer”, I just post photos! By the way, the thing I’ve loved the most since I started my instagram account has been meeting so many new people from all around the world. I think this helped me grow up a lot.

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

I think people like everything that’s REAL. It’s easy to understand from the outside if anyone is publishing something he doesn’t like. That’s the reason why I think brands should be pay more attention in choosing the right influencer for their campaign.

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

The only way to grow on Instagram, from EVERY point of view, is to post original pictures that can show who you are and what you like. That’s why since the first day I’ve dedicated so much time to edit my pics, trying to find my style and to maintain it through the years.

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

The most beautiful thing is the promotional part. I adore posting pictures of products of the brands I’m partnering with and I LOVE seeing that people like them! And it’s even more satyinsfing when I understand I’ve been useful and, I’ve had a part in the growth and the development of the brand.
