Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: Michael david @Michaelsids

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

Hi my name is michael, i am from indonesia, i am 22 years old soon. I am student in one of indonesia’s university.
I am taking accounting for the major but at the end i don’t think that this is suitable with my passion. Talking about my passion, i love music, photography , and also talking about something that can brand me to people so they can know me well. Right now, i am preparing for my graduate and i’ve planned to take my postgraduate in Southampton University, UK. I will take digital marketing there. (Finally i get a major that shows my passion)

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

I do interest with nature, something with artistic side, and also it must be high brightness. Why ? Because it shows about myself who always put any situations with a brightside. I love to post about fashion which shows the best outfit for the day , and also i love to post about food.

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

My name of instagram is taken by my own name michael. Then my “sids” comes from my family name sidabutar. Because it is too long, i short it into sids. So there it is, michaelsids

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

I really love vscocam, it really gives what i need.
For first i focus on the photos and angle and then i edit it on vsco with brightness, contrass, highlight, sharpen also, and the most important thing is the temperature, somehow i phone’s camera shows the picture is too yellow, so i need to make a low temperature so it will show that the picture turns to blue, and a little bit cold. And then i post it to instagram and don’t forget to edit it again (a.k.a final touch) and post it

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

I do love ootdmen, lookbookindonesia, mrfoodjournal, and also instagram.

6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?

I wann make my vid instagram, which only contains with video but it still shows me but in motion.

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

I love when people got inspire by my picture, and i would be so happy if they can do the same like i did(with their own style). And i love when people comment or tag someone they know to shows them about my photos

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

First thing is you should use brightness. Brightness and contrass is like yin and yang , they are couple and can’t be broken. Remember, brightness it doesn’t mean bright color. You can use black, red maroon or navy blue, but still you have to bright the color , so they can interest with your photos. And don’t forget to catch some customer, so they don’t feel confused about our brands. Let us active asking them.

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

Never do plagiarism, i do believe that each person has their artistic soul inside. So you have to be brave to show it to the world. And the most important thing is be yourself.

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

I love sharing each other, they can help me to improve my skill, or i can help them to improve theirs. And maybe we could work together as a team, and it will be shown to the customer, that we could sell their brand in to the high level. And also somehow we could get free testing of the brand, or we will get free stuff. LOL
