Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: Melania @anothermel

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

Hi! My name is Melania and I’m a 22 years old social media student from Verona, Italy! I’m about to start a new path in my life after getting my first degree in Media & Communication studies last october. In fact after working for half a year in digital agency I started asking myself what I truly wanted to do with my life in the next years and I decided to specialize myself in the field of social media. For this reason I’ve started a new instagram account in order to become an instagram expert and learn everyday something new about this amazing visual platform.

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

My personal account is focused on my everyday life, things i love most like flowers, good food and little trips in my free time. I try to put all of myself in my shots in order to make them personal, colorful and attractive to my followers. It’s hard to have an unique and personal style in a place with so many talented people but the only important thing to do is to remain true to yourself.

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

“Anothermel” comes from one of the many Beatles love ballads that I adore, “Another girl”. At the same time “another” means “one like many others” and also “a different one”. I like to think that I’m different but at the same time like many other girls (Mel) like me.

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

I love to discover and try all the many editing apps that everyday pop out on the app store but I can’t live without VSCO! I’ve discovered it when It wasn’t yet so popular and It’s truly the best. I’m so obsessed with it that I’ve nearly bought all its filters packs!

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

There a lot of users that I truly admire but If I have to choose I say @ralcubow @brahmino @thererumnatura and @babes_in_boyland

6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?

Not to focus so much on the likes and comments and to start really enjoy and have fun with this app! Just do it for yourself!

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

I’m only a newbie for the moment and I can’t wait to become more known in order to spread a bit of color in other people’s life. It’s beautiful how images can link user so far away from each others!

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

If you want to appear authentic to others you have to feel yourself authentic first. You have to be honest with your followers and simply post and write things that truly represent you.

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

People relate to you most when you show them your personal space and life. It’s like a matter of trust. It’s about being sincere and honest with your audience and show them something that only you and nobody else can offer.

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

Being in the niche of lifestyle photography is the best opportunity to start a good relationship with brands. Studying brand marketing made me feel aware of the many possibilities that this social platform can gives both to the influencers and to the brands. And we are only at the beginning!
