Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: Max Liceaga @maxgliceaga

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

I’m Max Liceaga, UX designer currently living in Guadalajara, Mexico. I have lived in France, UK, US and Canada. I love cultural exchanges and aim to keep traveling 😀

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

TRAVEL <3 and color. I also try to showcase cool outfits and lifestyle. I’m vegetarian and enjoy going to cool restaurants with nice decoration, but I’m not a foodie. I have a healthy life, so fitness posts are also part of my IG.

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

name + last name

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

I use Photoshop (Desktop). I take my time to select the content I want to post. In PS I just adjust Levels and Sharpen the image. IG’s favorite filter: Gingham. My most recent pics have a white border, which will be removed soon.

6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?

I just purchased a GoPro and I’m super excited about it. This new camera is motivating me to do new things, (I’m going to do rafting in Costa Rica) So my advice might be of the “personal growth” type, but it is to try NEW things.

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

Being a motivator, and inviting people to do awesome things, like attending galleries or going to a lost beach in Mexico. Sharing what I enjoy the most and how I see things.

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

I think that the key is that both, influencer and brand, stay loyal to their identity. Never look too forceful.

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

Originality is key in terms of engagement. As a user, I am motivated when I see fresh and new content. The point is to add your own style to the trending topics.

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

I’m a big fan of gadgets and fashion. Giving suggestions about cool products or places is something I do outside of Instagram. Being partnered with a brand inside the app, gives me the chance to take it to the next level and reach more people.
