1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

My name is Maite, I’m half Uruguayan half Mexican ( currently living in Mexico ). I love traveling, beauty, design, photography, reading etc.
I’m a minimalist and I have a Youtube channel ( a version in Spanish and a version in English, itsmaiteg and itsmaitegmx ) where I make minimalism, diy’s, fashion, yoga, food, traveling, and beauty related videos.
I love sharing what I love with people, that’s why I like instagram and youtube so much.

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

Coffe shops I go to, Outfits, places I go to, things I like ( wearing, eating, clothes, makeup etc. )
My topics of interest are fashion, yoga, beauty, minimalism, traveling, eating photography, what I like to buy, etc.

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

My name is Maite Gómez Trías so maitegomezt is basically my name, simple.

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

If I don’t use photoshop, I use facetune for whitening the background or something that’s not white enough for my feed, then I go to snapseed and I adjust the brightness, and the last thing I do is going to vsco cam and using hb1 or hb2 filter depending on the photo.

6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?

Minimalism in a way that suits their lives, doing yoga, and trying the makeup and fashion tips I give them.

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

I love sharing everything I love with people who follow me around the globe, it’s such an interesting way of learning about lifestyles, different cultures, people, etc.

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

Being fun without being professional and getting out of the box without being unesthetic, and basically selling good quality things that people need in their lives.

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

We are visual, mostly on instagram, even if someone doesn’t care about aesthetic is more likely to follow you if you have interesting and good quality content. Don’t be a copy of everyone, be the best version of you, there’s a lot of people that will like that. Try new things and share them, don’t be afraid of what people say. Be yourself, that’s the best person you can be. Embrace it.

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

I can share with people things I like and my opinion and it’s basically a win-win situation. It’s amazing because if I share with people who follow me, what I like, a brand, they will probably buy it and it’s so cool that just through my instagram and my opinion someone decided to buy it, because I recommended it, and I think that’s amazing.
