Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: Louise @lootsinfashion

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

Currently I am sitting in my office in Cape town, designing man lids for heavy duty vehicles. I am a mechanical engineer but in my free time I am a fashion blogger proving that engineers can have style too!;)

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

Fashion and travel! There is nothing I enjoy more than fashion and then their is traveling and the occasional hike. Combining the two is just a recipe for a good good time.

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

It was a nickname given to me at school. My real name is Louise so then it became Liesie and then evolved to Loosy and finally Lootsin.

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

I use photo-scape and sometimes VSCO, yes I do not know how lightroom or faceshop works and I am to lazy to teach myself.

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

I love Margaret Zhang the fact that she finished a degree in law while being one of the most influential bloggers is a big motivation to me that you can never work to hard. And her writing style is insane.

6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?

Mix condense milk with cream and leave it in the freezer until it turns into ICE CREAM!

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

Being able to create cool content. My blog posts are normally shot in the outdoors so to mission around to find cool new locations are always fun and than finally the free clothes and the occasional check.

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

Always keep your content unique, there is a lot of bloggers out there, don’t get lost in the crowd.

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

As stated above the uniqueness and thus added the quality of your photos is very very important. When I started I used a very cheap standard camera and only recently have I upgraded to a good quality SLR camera which has helped a lot with gaining followers and getting noticed by brands.

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

Being able to share in creative ideas and there is always the opportunity to learn something new.
