Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: Loan Le Thuy Vu @thylaan

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

My full name is Loan Le Thuy Vu (Loan – First Name; Le Thuy – Middle Name; Vu – Last Name).
I am currently work as a freelancer: Fashion photographer & 2D graphic designer from Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

Traveling and Lifestyle are my interests as I love to travel the world to experience foreign lifestyle & culture. Besides, meself – a full-time lover for beauty, experience and creating my own inspiration for freelancer work. Having traveled to 14 countries from Asia to Europe (Cambodia, Thailand, Singapore, Korea, UAE, France, Belgium, Germany, Netherlands, Italy, Switzerland, Greek, United Kingdom & Wales), I find myself living a very meaningful life through every trip. Not only that, conveying positive lifestyle to people is all I always wanted.

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

ThyLaan is a short-art form of Thuy Loan (my real name).
There is also some meanings for Laan (towards the west – https://www.wordsense.eu/laan/):
* 1/ Sunset in the West – immersing in sunset is my hobby.
* 2/ My traveling goals is towards the west – It speaks of the Western Lifestyles that have positively affected myself; my travel orientation always heading towards the Western Hemisphere.

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

Adobe Photoshop – Lightroom. I create my own preset bases on the mood and tone of the pictures.

6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?

Makeup*
I rarely post my own selfies on instagram, but the selfies posted on stories or facebook often get compliments and replies asking how I do my makeup. Before now, I was quite shy but now I think it’s a very right time for me to challenge and change myself in the way to convey the most interesting and beautiful things to everyone – my fellow Instagrammers.

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

Living a creative life: Create lifestyle – Create trend – Create me better (Being myself).

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

Each influencer is a marketer bringing products to market. With a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business And Management from University of West of England & 2 years working in digital sales marketing field, I believe myself have some *secret tips* in marketing to attract and engage with people.

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

Quality and original content is a must in every advertising posts. A true influencer should give his/her followers (the ones trust them the most) the right knowledge/ the right choice for the products. Hence, content is the second element go after picture – seen as the very first factor – that helps people get a deep understanding of products’ usefulness.

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

I would like to contribute to brands’ growth.
