Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: Laku Davies @lakudavies

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

I am a photographer based in London. Mother of two amazing young ones, building my Insta rep one photo a time 🙂

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

I have a deep love for the city I live in- London. So a high percentage of my post is about landmarks and things to do in London. I love to travel and explore other cities, and find inspirations during my travels.

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

I was/am a professional photographer before I took instagramming seriously so I just kept my name.

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

I have over 20 apps currently on my phone 😀 My top apps would have to be Vsco, priime, snapseed and iColorama.
My edit routine depends on what I took the shot with. If I shot on my phone camera, then I upload directly to one of the phone edit apps. However if it is with my canon camera, edit I’d done in photoshop then uploaded to phone.

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

There are too many to mention! Different things inspire me, from editing styles to persona, to inspirations given on the posts.

6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?

I am currently learning about moving images. Still have a lot to learn but I love the challenge

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

I have a voice 😀 It’s so cool to be able to share information with the world, literally! To spread inspirational ideas and empower and encourage others #thebestfeeling

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

Let the influencer be able to speak to their audience in their own words about you. Authenticity comes from staying true to oneself and one’s beliefs.

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

Quality is very important, as everything is very visual these days and people do expect high quality. People will see through you if you are not original, so I try to keep my posting original and relevant to me, especially when deciding on which campaigns to take on.

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

I love the fulfilment I get from working with a brand I truly believe in. I love the recognition I get from it and of course the rewards.
