Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: Fifi Kusuma @dulcefifiyau

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

Hello ,Starngage! I am Fifi Kusuma, a fashion and travel enthusiast from Indonesia.

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

I am so into fashion and travel. Both of them are what make my life whole beside my family and friends. I’d love to travel to beautiful places while wearing the most lovely and comfortable outfit. Snap here, snap there, and they’re all over my Instagram now.

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

There’s a funny story behind my Instagram name. It all began when I first made Instagram account, I wanted to use my full name as username but turned out there were a lot of people with the same name as me. Late start for me. And then I was thinking of my childhood memories and suddenly, the well-known telenovela called Carita de Ángel popped out in my mind with its famous and cute lil’ actress named Dulce Maria. Yau is my surname in Cantonese. So, that’s where dulcefifiyau came from.

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

I am using Snapseed and VSCO and I love them so much. They’re like complementing each other. I use Snapseed to enhance the structure, brightness, contrast, and saturation. After that, I’ll move to VSCO to play and have fun with the holy grail filter. I also like to apply some purplish color to my photo on VSCO because somehow it can create a dreamy feeling, don’t you think so?

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

Definitely @chrisellelim and @songofstyle. They are like my muse! It’s amazing how Chriselle can maintain her career while having a beautiful little family with Allen and Chloe. Song Aimee inspires me a lot with her fun and bright personality. They signature style is simple, chic, and stylish at the same time which I love the most.

6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?

Sky Diving. It’s on my number one bucket list.

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

My favorite part must be when I can meet new people who can inspire and empower each other in the social media world. Also how I can keep spreading positive vibes through my feeds everyday and interact with others.

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

Pay more attention to your target market and their behavior so you can gain their attention and trust. As for myself, authenticity is very important in social media world where everything were crafted beautifully before posted online. For me, what I said in social media is truly what I felt and what inspired me. No sugarcoating and no pretending.

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

It’s much much better to give your all best then copying others. Just be real with your content and don’t fake it.

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

It’s when I got the chance to get to know more knowledge about the brands, their products, and how its products useful and became meaningful to me and others. They sort of can change people’s lives.
