Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: Keshia Milette @kmilkette

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

I am a 31 year old married woman with a very bald family! I’m bald, and my two cats are bald. We enjoy watching and reviewing movies, getting outdoors, and I own my own cleaning business. I come from Canada!

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

I post creative artsy lifestyle photos. I incorporate my unique look, I have alopecia, with my love of art. I talk about tech addiction, self esteem and mental health. I also post my cats a lot! I have 2 hairless cats!

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

I started my Instagram with a more inappropriate handle, and was really into the self absorbed selfie culture… but I have changed it to something more wholesome as my nephews are online now and I want to be a good example for them!

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

I use Bazaart and Snapseed! I will design the photo from a basic photo and try to create something unique and applicable to what I want to talk about that post. I use Bazaart first, to cut and move things around, then I enhance the color and quality with Snapseed.

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

elyse_myers inspires me the most. I don’t follow anyone who is like me, I guess that’s a good thing because it makes what I post truly genuine.

6) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

Being authentic in a world full of false advertising.

7) What’s your favorite part about StarNgage? Any exciting campaigns that you have joined through StarNgage before?

I haven’t been here long and am still learning the ins and outs.

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

I have yet to approach brands, I recently decided to take influencing seriously.

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

It’s ok to be inspired by someone, but make sure it’s organically your own by doing what feels natural and not what feels posed.

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

I have yet to do so. I’m still working on getting some confidence in such an over saturated market.
