Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: Kelly Dodge @dropsetdodge

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

Hey! I’m Kelly. I’m a singer, certified personal trainer, and amateur food photographer. But who isn’t? I’m originally from NH but I split my time between NYC and LA currently.

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

I love being healthy. I have a huge passion for fitness and an even larger one for wellness. I crave new and exciting journeys both spiritual and physical.

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

I wanted something that sounded strong. I want to HELP people, so they need to trust that I can lead them to a healthier lifestyle. I chose ‘dropsetdodge’ because I love drop sets when it comes to strength training, it has my last name, and it also sounds similar to ‘Ready. Set. Go!’

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

I love Whitagram because it gives my photos an added aesthetic and spaces them out in a quirky way on my page. I also love the Repost app to share content that I want my followers to check out. As far as editing photos, I use the Instagram app itself.

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

I love Sahara Ray, Mimi Elashiry, and the Saint Heron page. My current favorite Instagram page is ‘Vibes’ – pure groovy style.

6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?

Get a Day Designer or a Passion Planner – combine your schedule and your journal and learn to use your stress as fuel for your future zen.

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

Sharing awesome shit.

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

Use high-quality photos. When in doubt, simple is best, less is more, etc. let your sweet wild excited child of wonder shine through your captions. They’re not buying a product, they’re investing. And people invest with humans, not social media.

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

People scroll through and see 10,000 perfect pictures a day that they’ll never remember. When they’re following 100 people and you have the one lesser quality photo, guess which one they’re going to remember.

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

Partnership is fun. Plain and simple.
