1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?
I’m currently pursuing my masters degree in Marketing Communications in Melbourne. I’m from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, but have lived in many places such as the Philippines & L.A., which has helped to introduce me to my love of food.
2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?
My main topic of interest is food, and it’s what I post the most on Instagram. Melbourne’s brunch culture is incredible and there’s never a shortage of new and good Cafes to check out. It’s one of my favourite things to do in my free time, along with my passion for photography. I’m planning on lanching my own food blog very soon, which in excited about.
3) How did your Instagram name come about?
It’s just my name ?
4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!
My main app is VSCO cam, it’s by far the best free app and you can never go wrong with it.
5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?
An instagrammer that I really like and am inspired by is Lennardy. I love his food photography and cooking skills.
6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?
Lune croissants in Melbourne, which the New York Times voted as the best croissants in the world. (Totally lives up to the hype and is worth waking up at 7am for)
7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?
My favourite part is being able to honestly and openly share my favourite foodie finds that I believe people have to try. It’ll be such a sin not to share all the glorious food that I discover, and am happy when I find out from my followers that they thoroughly enjoyed a place that I posted. It motivates me to keep it up.
8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?
Find your own style and voice, shine in what you know you are good at, and eventually people will notice
9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?
People want to follow users that not only provide them with appealing and high quality content, but that have a slightly different style/characteristic that sets them apart (from photo taking style, to editing)
10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?
I like that I am able to try and test things out first, and give my honest review on it, as my followers look to my page to find new places to try and new things to try out, even through my snapchat which is basically filled with food and coffee 24/7. I love being able to support a brand that is truly good at what they do, and are honest.
