Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: Kathrine Østli Kristiansen @Kathrineok

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

I am 22 years old, from Norway. I grew up loving handball and other types of sports. I was actually kinda good at it too, but decided to quit when I was eighteen.
I struggled a lot with my self worth around that time, and developed an eating disorder. Let’s just say that it was all a big mess, and that in the end I got a huge wake up call. I got back on my feet and finished upper secondary school. I then began my voluntary military service in the Air Force from 2014 to 2015. That turned out to be the best year of my life. I met so many wonderful people and created some good memories.
Right now I’m taking a year to improve my grades from upper secondary school in a private school, so I can apply for the Correctional Academy.. So, that’s me.

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

I post mainly everything. Photos from my everyday life. Selfies, makeup, travel, quotes, shoes, clothes, food, animals.

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

I wish I could tell you a cool story, but its basically just my name. Since it didn’t work to use the letter Ø, which is the first letter of my middle name. And since the first letter to my last name is K, my instagram name became @Kathrineok. Simple as that.

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

Well, I almost never use any filters on my instagram photos. But I always edit the lightning and make the photo more cold and sharp.
I have to admit that I use the app “Perfect365” to soften my skin a little. I think that’s just my own insecurities talking.

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

I follow a lot of different accounts. A lot of fashion influencers, travel inspiration, and interior.
@madelinejoyrelph , @doyoutravel , @janicejoostemaa are some of my favorites. I love traveling, so I really get inspired when I see a beautiful photo from somewhere around the world.

6) If there’s one thing your fellow Instagrammers just gotta try now, what’s it gonna be?

Travel and explore new places! Have fun.

7) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

Sharing my experience and everyday life with people through pictures. I love my followers.

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

Be honest and sincere!

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

Tell your real opinion, and be honest. Be you! No one likes reading something they feel is not real and is not coming from you.

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

Learning more and trying out new things.
