Instagram Influencer Spotlight On: Kate pepper @gowherekategoes

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What are you doing now and where do you come from?

Hi there! I am a digital nomad working in Education recruitment and have been working as I travel through Europe, Asia, and Africa. I am 27 years old and from Toronto, Canada. I am currently in Thailand but as of December I will be back in Canada.

2) What are your topics of interest? What do you post on Instagram the most?

My main interest is travel and fashion. My instagram posts are a combination of fashion in different places in the world. I also love spending time on the beach.

3) How did your Instagram name come about?

I had been travelling for a long time, I realized people were interested in where I was going to go next or where I had been already. That’s why I decided on gowherekategoes to encourage people to visit the places I have gone to!

4) What are some apps you use to edit your photos? Share with us your photo-editing routine!

To edit photos I try to keep it simple and keep them looking real. I mainly use Photoshop fix to remove unwanted things in the background like twigs on the beach. Then I use lightroom presets to keep my page looking consistent and give it a cohesive feel.

5) Any Instagrammers whom you really like? Which Instagrammer inspires you the most?

I really enjoy the feel of Micro influencers “thewanderingdonut” “em_luxton” and “”wheresmollie” these accounts look beautiful and also still really engage with their followers. I enjoy the messages about travel they share.

6) What’s your favorite part about being an influencer?

I love being able to share my experiences of travel and life whether good or bad with others. I like the constant communication I have with people that share similar interest as me. It allows me to help others experience something that they otherwise may never see or try themselves. I also hope to inspire others try to take solo adventures or risks in all aspects of their life.

7) What’s your favorite part about StarNgage? Any exciting campaigns that you have joined through StarNgage before?

I really like the ability to connect with brands and companies that are also passionate about inspiring and helping other people experience and better themselves.

8) What are some of your top tips to brands for running campaigns? How do you maintain authenticity?

I like to try the product and really stand behind the product. I am very open with my followers about all aspects of my life and I like to do so even when working with brand or staying somewhere, eating at a place or collaborating.

9) What would your advice be on the importance of quality and original content?

I think it’s important to have original content and show something different. I think that is what my followers enjoy most about me is that I always give them something new but in a consistent way.

10) What do you like best about partnering with brands?

I like being able to experience something new myself and share that with others so they can also try something to help better themselves.
